• When linking or embedding Moodle activities, open the Moodle course in two windows. Then you can more quickly get links/embed codes from the course to add to a Page, NC State Book, Label, etc.

  • If you link to a Moodle activity in something “external” like a Google Doc and then that Google Doc is copied to a new semester, the links will be to the original course activities, not the new course activities, and students will not be enrolled in or have access to those activities. So, all links in the Google Doc would have to be updated in the new course/semester.

  • If you use restricted access on an activity that has been made stealth and students access the link to it before it has been made unrestricted, they are taken to a very confusing screen and will likely not know what to do. 

  • Stealth Activities in Hidden Sections: If you hide a section, students will be able to access resources and activities and are set to "Available but not shown on course page" via the link to Resources in the Dashboard. If you do not want students to view certain activities or resources, ensure that these are set to hidden vs. "Available but not shown on course page"
