WATCH & REVIEW: Blocks & the Block Drawer
Blocks in a Moodle Course
Blocks in Moodle provide information and course interaction help. Blocks appear in the right sidebar "Block Drawer" in a Moodle course and can be collapsed/expanded with the X and < symbols/icons. Blocks are added by instructors with the "Add a block" button at the top of the Block Drawer. Existing Blocks can also be moved and deleted within the Block Drawer using the plus-shaped Move button and through the settings drop-down menu for each Block. The drop-down settings menu also allows an instructor to edit the Block -- click on "Configure" to edit. There are many different types of Blocks and their functions are described on this support page.
Blocks at NC State
Some Blocks available through Moodle are not activated in NC State Moodle courses. Feature requests to add Blocks to Moodle (and other features) can be made here.
